Thank you for your interest in the Honors Academy for Academic Excellence at Jenkins High School! We appreciate your interest and will do our best to meet your expectations, both now and in the future.
The primary focus of the Honors Academy for Academic Excellence is to serve the advanced level learner throughout their high school years. To achieve this, we offer advanced level academic courses as well as a variety of elective academics to enhance the students' learning in their chosen area of interest.
We provide advanced and accelerated course work in Math, Science, English and Social Studies. We offer pre-engineering technology based courses. For our juniors and seniors, we provide additional learning opportunities through Advanced Placement (AP) courses and dual enrollment (attending class and earning credits at the local colleges).
In addition to our advanced level academics, we offer a well rounded high school experience through participation in athletics, band, chorus, NJROTC and other student activities. We have a variety of academic teams, clubs and service organizations. We encourage our Academy students to take an active part in school leadership.
Our success is easily measured through high test scores on the SAT and GHSGT. Additionally, our graduating Academy seniors receive multiple scholarship opportunities and offerings from colleges around the country.
